Businesses of the Month: Basement Bakehouse & Bakehouse on the Green šŸ°ā˜•šŸ„®

More than two years in, and the momentum hasn’t slowed. Basement Bakehouse has firmly established itself as a local favourite, while Bakehouse on the Green has been a standout success, quickly becoming a go-to spot in the community.

These two businesses impressed us so much, we had to go back for a second visit, and we couldn’t recommend them more.

What started as a small independent Artisan bakery has quickly grown into one of the area’s biggest success stories. Basement Bakehouse has now been proudly serving the community for over two years, and in that time it has gone from strength to strength, far beyond what its owners, Liam and Andrea, could have imagined.

Just four months on from launching their second site, it’s clear that Bakehouse on the Green has been an incredible success too. The charming horse trailer, set within the ever-popular Windmill Hill Gardens, has quickly become a go-to spot for locals, serving specialty coffee and a carefully curated selection of their much-loved bakes.

With growing support from the local community and attention from social media influencers, their profile has soared, and it’s easy to see why.

What’s been so special to see is how both locations have developed their own identity while still staying true to the same core values, quality, consistency, and community. The demand hasn’t slowed; if anything, it’s only grown stronger, with more and more people discovering what makes this bakery so special.

Windmill Hill Gardens continues to provide the perfect setting, somewhere you can sit, relax, and enjoy great coffee and fresh bakes, whether you’re catching up with friends or just taking a moment for yourself.

Bakehouse on the Green has not only complemented the original bakery, but enhanced the overall experience, bringing even more life to the area and strengthening that sense of community that sits at the heart of everything Liam and Andrea do.

It’s safe to say this is no longer just a new addition, it’s a thriving part of the local scene, and we’re excited to see what’s next.
