JAGS Property Group Celebrates Our First Ever Business Award Nomination!
We're absolutely thrilled to bits! JAGS Property Group has been named a finalist in the Small Business category at the Kent Business Awards – Maidstone! Our very first award nomination is a proud moment for the whole team and a lovely recognition of our hard work, passion, and commitment to our clients and local community.
What a week it's been for JAGS Property Group!
Last week, we were delighted to be named a finalist in the Small Business category at the Kent Business Awards, Maidstone!
This was our very first business award nomination, so to find ourselves shortlisted alongside four other fantastic small businesses was a pretty special moment for the whole team.
And, of course, it gave us the perfect excuse to get dressed up, swap our usual work clothes for something a little smarter, and head off to The Great Danes Hotel in Maidstone for the awards ceremony!
A Proud Moment for JAGS
When we think back to where JAGS started and how far we've come, it's moments like these that make all the hard work worthwhile.
Running a small business isn't always easy. There are long days, challenges to overcome and plenty going on behind the scenes that people don't always see. But we're proud of what we've built and, more importantly, the way we've built it.
From day one, we wanted JAGS to be a little different from the traditional estate agency.
We wanted to create a business where clients feel genuinely looked after, where communication is a priority and where people know they can pick up the phone and speak to someone who actually cares about their move.
It's something we've worked hard to achieve, and something we're determined never to lose as the business grows.
Our Purpose: Elevating Your Move
You will often hear us talking about Elevating Your Move, but what does that actually mean?
For us, it's about making the whole experience of moving home better.
Our purpose is to elevate people's move on every level, bringing big-city standards to our local community through exceptional marketing, expert advice and genuine care.
We might be a small independent estate agency, but that doesn't mean our clients should expect anything less than the very best.
Whether it's producing fantastic marketing for a property, keeping everyone updated throughout a sale or simply being there when things get a little stressful, we want our clients to feel they've made the right choice in trusting us.
And behind everything we do are five core values that really matter to us.
Commitment: When we take on a client, we're committed to doing the very best job we can. We know moving home is a big deal, and we want people to feel supported from that first conversation right through to moving day.
High Performance: We set ourselves high standards, not just when it comes to selling properties, but in the service we provide along the way. We take pride in our marketing, our results and the relationships we build with our clients.
Forward Thinking: Estate agency has changed enormously over the years, and we don't believe in doing something a certain way just because that's how it's always been done. We're constantly looking at new ideas, technology and better ways of working to improve the experience for our clients.
Adaptability: Anyone who has ever bought or sold a property will know that things don't always go according to plan! Every move is different, and being able to think on our feet, find solutions, and adapt when circumstances change is a huge part of what we do.
Passion: This is a big one for us. We genuinely love what we do. We're passionate about property, about helping people move and about the area we work in. We care about getting things right, and we want that to come across in every interaction our clients have with us.
These values aren't just something we've written down. They're what we want JAGS to stand for and what we work towards every day.
More Than Just Selling Houses
One thing that's always been important to us is being involved in our local community. Gravesend and the surrounding areas are where we've built our business, and we never forget the support we've received from local people along the way.
Over the years, we've had so much fun getting involved in school events, supporting local sports clubs and community groups, organising charity golf days and raising money for some wonderful causes.
Then there are our Easter egg giveaways, Halloween celebrations and all the other little things we love getting involved in throughout the year.
We also really enjoy our Business of the Month features, where we get to meet and promote other independent businesses in the area. There are so many brilliant local businesses doing fantastic things, and if we can help give them a little extra exposure, we're more than happy to do so.
For us, being a local estate agent has always been about more than just selling houses. It's about being part of the community, building relationships and giving something back.
As JAGS grows, we want that to continue to be a big part of who we are.
A Night to Remember!
So, back to the awards!
It was lovely to get the team together, get dressed up and enjoy an evening celebrating some of the fantastic businesses we have here in Kent.
There was a real buzz in the room, and it was great to see so many hardworking business owners and their teams being recognised for what they do.
Now, we'd love to tell you that we came home with a trophy... but unfortunately, it wasn't our night!
Of course, we were a little disappointed. Who wouldn't want to win their first business award?
But when we thought about it, being shortlisted as one of just five finalists in our category, especially for our very first nomination, was an achievement in itself.
We're genuinely proud to have made it that far.
A huge congratulations to the winners and all the other finalists. It was a pleasure to share the evening with so many great businesses.
And while we didn't bring home the award this time, it's certainly given us even more motivation to keep pushing ourselves, improving what we do and building on everything we've achieved so far.
Who knows, perhaps next year we'll be bringing that trophy home!

As a small independent business, every lovely review, recommendation and referral really does make a difference.
And to our local community, thank you for continuing to support us, get involved in our events and help spread the word about JAGS.
When we started this business, we had big ambitions for what we wanted to achieve, and whilst there's still plenty more we want to do, it's lovely to take a moment to look back and appreciate how far we've come.
We're proud of our team, proud of the business we're building and proud to be part of such a fantastic local community.
So, although there's no trophy sitting on the shelf just yet, we're taking this nomination as a little reminder that we're heading in the right direction.
Our first business award nomination, and hopefully the first of many!
