We are incredibly proud to announce that the JAGS / Westways Charity Golf Day, held at Wrotham Heath Golf Club in July, raised a fantastic £5,626 for ellenor Hospice.
What started as a great day of golf became something much more important, an opportunity to bring clients, colleagues, friends and supporters together to raise vital funds for an incredible local charity.
A fantastic day at Wrotham Heath
The Charity Golf Day was a huge success from start to finish, and we would like to thank every golfer who joined us and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere.
The generosity shown throughout the day was exceptional, with funds raised through donations, raffle ticket sales, competitions and our auction.
Of course, an event like this doesn't happen without the support of many people, and it really was a team effort.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our generous sponsors Glenhawk, LendInvest, Port Anchor Financial, West One, Capital Cocktails, Barclays and SOMO, as well as everyone who kindly donated prizes to our raffle and auction.
We were also delighted to have Jemma and Leah from ellenor join us on the day, running the Hit It to Win It and One Putt Challenge and helping everyone get involved in the fundraising.
A special mention must also go to Charles from Capital Cocktails, who spent the day mixing fantastic cocktails for our golfers, and to the entire team at Wrotham Heath Golf Club for their hospitality and for helping everything run so smoothly.
£5,626 raised for ellenor
Following the event, we were thrilled to confirm that the final amount raised was an incredible £5,626.
More recently, Karl and Jacqui were invited to ellenor Hospice to officially present the cheque on behalf of JAGS and Westways.
It was a particularly special moment to see the fundraising journey come full circle – from everyone coming together on the golf course in July to being able to visit ellenor and hand over a cheque for £5,626.
During the visit, Jacqui and Karl also had the pleasure of meeting Sue Piper, and Nicola Irvine from ellenor, who took the time to explain more about the work of the charity and how the money raised through events like ours is used.
Hearing first-hand about how the funding supports the children, adults and families in ellenor's care really brought home why events like our Charity Golf Day are so worthwhile.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every golfer, sponsor, donor, prize contributor, volunteer and supporter who played a part.
Whether you played 18 holes, sponsored the event, bought raffle tickets, entered a competition, made a donation or simply helped spread the word, you contributed to the fantastic final total.
£5,626 is an achievement we can all be incredibly proud of.
Most importantly, the money will help ellenor continue its vital work supporting local families when they need it most. The success of this year's event has already got us thinking about the next one, and we're delighted to say that plans for next year's JAGS Charity Golf Day are already underway.
We hope to see many familiar faces back on the course, and perhaps a few new ones too!
Thank you once again from everyone at JAGS and Westways for helping us turn a great day of golf into £5,626 for an incredible cause.
